The Show

It’s a show suited for everyone but we are very different from any circus you might have been to before. Marvel at our death defying highwire act, be on the edge of your seat as chainsaws cascade in the air and feel slightly bemused by the ….biscuits.

Audience members queue before a show

We don’t want to spoil too much about the show but what we will say is you can expect incredibly high level circus acts in the air and on the ground. All laced with humour and a surprise at every turn.

We aren’t the biggest circus with 100 flexible acrobats from far away places but what we lack in scale we make up for in quality, comedy and chaos. Unlike Cirque du Soleil, a show from Cirque du Piddly is never the same twice as we craft and adapt the show live for the audience, creating a really special experience. Each audience we host is unique and so are the shows.

Circus Piddly has not yet had any reviewers come to our little red and white big top however, some of our acts have been in big name shows and here’s what the papers are saying about them:

“I saw Goodburn do the same act in Edinburgh last summer, in a street show that eclipsed much of what I saw in theatres.” Brian Logan- The Guardian

“That is the best intro to an act I have ever seen.” Ant McPartlin

“Sam Goodburn will leave you belly-laughing and cheering with joy” London Theatre Review

“The unicycling in particular is both absurd and full of drama” Lyn Gardner- The Guardian

“Ditching his bobble hat for a plaid bathrobe, the gawky string-bean unicyclist Sam Goodburn makes a wonderfully adept transformation.” Donald Hutera – The Times

“Goodburn mixes clowning with some impressive unicycling. His clown persona is a skinny, bespectacled nerd, but as he does his unicycle tricks, he throws away his old National Health specs and puts on a pair of cool-guy dark glasses.” Quentin Letts- The Times
